Aphids are often regarded with dismay by humans, especially the Peach-potato aphid (Myzus persicae), a notable agricultural pest. However they are very beautiful, especially in flight. This work was originally commissioned to celebrate the work of the Rothamsted insect survey, and has featured in the science-art crossover journal ‘Consilience’.
